The 5th hole at Schenectady MGC is a true thinkers hole so be sure to check the pin location while playing the 4th. The correct play is to hit an iron down the left side of the fairway, leaving a wedge or short iron to the green. A large oak that over-hangs the right side of the green requires a safe play to the left or the riskier knock down shot. As an option, the player can select driver and easily get close to the green, however, this leaves a tricky shot to this elevated green, where depth perception is always an issue.
